Fact vs Myth
Common Beliefs vs the Reality of Gambling
Many players bring inaccurate beliefs to the table. Understanding the facts helps you play smarter.
A slot that has not paid out for a long time is "due" to hit the jackpot
FactEvery slot spin is completely independent and random. The outcome of a previous spin has no effect on the next one — the concept of a spin being "due" does not exist mathematically.
If you keep losing, a win is bound to come
FactThere is no "compensatory win" in gambling. Every spin or bet is an independent event — the probability does not change based on previous outcomes.
There is a guaranteed winning system for baccarat
FactNo betting system — Martingale, Fibonacci or any other strategy — can overcome the house edge in baccarat. These strategies only change betting patterns, not outcomes.
A larger deposit increases your chances of winning
FactThe deposit amount does not change a game's RTP or odds. Bigger bets mean a bigger potential win, but also a greater risk of loss — the statistical odds remain the same.
Certain times and days are more "lucky" for playing
FactThe random number generator (RNG) operates consistently 24/7 with no time-based patterns. 3 a.m. is no luckier than noon.
Casinos can "set" slots to pay out less
FactLicensed platforms use RNGs independently certified by audit bodies. Each game's RTP is fixed according to the developer's specifications, not adjusted by the casino.
🎯 Gambling is entertainment, not a source of income. Set your daily limits and play only with money you can afford to lose. This platform is for players aged 21 and above only.

Key Terms You Need to Know
Understand online gambling terminology before you start. From RTP to Asian Handicap — all the key terms explained in plain language.
Asian Handicap
A football betting method that eliminates the draw by giving an advantage (handicap) to the weaker team. This market is more popular in Asia and offers better odds value than standard 1X2.
Over-Under (Totals)
A bet on the combined total goals or points in a match. You bet on whether the final total is over or under a number set by the bookmaker.
Odds Format
Odds can be displayed in three formats: Decimal (1.95), Fractional (19/20) and American (-105). The Decimal format is most common in Asia — this number shows how much you receive (including your stake) for every RM1 wagered.
RTP (Return to Player)
The theoretical percentage of money returned to players over the long term. A game with a high RTP means more money is returned on average — but this is a long-term estimate, not a guarantee for any single session.
House Edge
The mathematical advantage the casino holds in every game. The house edge in baccarat (Banker bet) is lower than in many other games — which is why baccarat is popular among players who understand the statistics.
Wagering Requirement
The number of times a bonus must be wagered before winnings from the bonus can be withdrawn. At bp9my, the wagering requirement for the welcome bonus is 25× the bonus amount — not the deposit plus bonus.
Live Dealer Casino
Casino games using real human dealers broadcast via live video. You see cards being shuffled, the roulette wheel spinning and dice being rolled in real time — just like a physical casino but from home.
Slot Volatility
A measure of a slot's risk level. Low Volatility means wins are more frequent but smaller. High Volatility means wins are less frequent but larger when they do occur. Choose based on your playing style and budget.
Progressive Jackpot
A jackpot that grows with every bet placed by players across the same slot network. A small portion of each bet is added to a prize pool that can reach a very large value before being paid out to a lucky player.
Cashback
A small portion of net losses returned to the player as a rebate. At bp9my, weekly cashback is calculated based on your VIP tier — from 0.2% for Bronze up to 1.0% for Diamond.
Mix Parlay
A combined bet where you select multiple matches at once. All selections must be correct to win, but the multiplied odds mean the potential return is much higher than a single bet.
KYC (Identity Verification)
The Know Your Customer process — an identity document check such as MyKad to verify a player's identity. KYC is required before the first withdrawal and is a standard requirement for internationally licensed platforms.
Sports & Esports
Sports Betting From the Malaysia Super League to Esports
bp9my brings you closer to the sporting action — from the Malaysia Super League and EPL for football fans, to international badminton matches and esports tournaments such as Dota 2 and CS2.
With a wide range of markets including Asian Handicap, over-under, mix parlay and in-play betting, you can bet on almost every angle of the game you follow.
